This Policy may apply to websites and digital services operated by BVV, including pages related to The Confident Death Doula™, PTW Collective™, BVV Connect, deathdoula.org, and deathdoula.app, as applicable and as those services become available.

Certain BVV services are being developed to support professional visibility for participating death doulas.

If you choose to maintain a professional profile through BVV Connect, deathdoula.org, or another applicable BVV service, information designated as public may be visible to people and families, healthcare and hospice organizations, community organizations, other end-of-life professionals, and other visitors.

Public profile information may include information such as your:

• professional name
• photograph
• biography
• location or service area
• services or offerings
• professional interests or specialties
• languages
• applicable professional information you choose or authorize to display

Information stored for administrative or verification purposes is not automatically public simply because you maintain a professional profile.

BVV does not sell personal information to advertisers.

We will not make nonpublic professional information available to an outside organization solely because you participate in a BVV program unless the disclosure is authorized, reasonably necessary to provide the applicable service, or otherwise permitted by law.

BVV may use third-party platforms such as scheduling, payment, email, community, or technology providers.

For example, when you schedule a Founding 100 Conversation through a scheduling provider, information you submit may also be subject to that provider’s privacy policy and terms.

Payment information may be collected directly by a third-party payment processor. BVV does not intend to store full payment-card numbers through its general website systems.

BVV may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for website operation, security, preferences, or analytics.

If BVV later uses advertising technologies or other non-essential tracking that requires additional notice or consent, the website may provide additional cookie controls or notices as appropriate.

Operational communications related to an active program, transaction, account, or membership may not be treated as optional marketing messages.

Where applicable, promotional emails will provide a method to unsubscribe.

BVV’s websites, professional development programs, membership services, and professional technology services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. BVV does not knowingly collect personal information from children through these services.

BVV is not representing through this website that its general website, Interest Form, member community, or other general-purpose digital services are systems for storing patient medical records or protected health information.

Users should not enter identifiable patient health information into general BVV forms, profiles, discussions, or other areas unless BVV expressly provides an authorized function designed for that purpose and supplies applicable instructions.

We may update this Privacy Policy as BVV programs, technology, and legal requirements evolve.
